The view from the deck of the St huberts winery, yarra valley

Cellar Door

Established in 1862 as one of the first wineries in the region, St Hubert’s helped position the area as a premium wine-producing location and championed the Yarra Valley’s wine Renaissance in the 1960s.

As one of the pioneers of premium winemaking in the area, St Hubert’s is thrilled to have created an innovative cellar door experience that sets a benchmark for other tasting rooms.

Open seven days 10 am – 5 pm for tastings, bottle sales or simply a glass overlooking the vines. We also serve a small selection of local cheese and charcuterie to accompany your wine experience.
We recommend bookings here but also welcome walk – in guests.

Under our roofline we also house the newest wine shop to the region, Notes, stocking up to seventy different wines from across Australia and our own brand of wines focusing on emerging varieties, or new winemaking techniques. These wines are free to taste whilst you browse the range in store.

Less than an hour’s drive from Melbourne, our rustic cellar door sits at the gateway to the stunning Yarra Valley - the perfect first stop on your journey into wine country.

St Huberts was originally founded in 1862 by Swiss winemaker Charles Hubert de Castella, before a national wine glut and the 1920s depression saw the Yarra Valley converted into farm land

Roaring back to life in 1966, St Huberts was one of the first wineries to replant in the region.

St Huberts is renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Roussanne.
